My holy grail gel eyeliner has yet to be found. For years I’ve used and abused my MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, but after 3-4 years of usage I found myself wanting more. Not only was I looking for something a little more opaque, but most of all, I was looking for something that didn’t dry out in like a month —gives the Fluidline the side eye—.

The L’Oréal Super Liner Gel Intenza comes in a classic glass jar with White-Gold lid and detailing. Nothing really to hate on here. I absolutely love the White-Gold lid as it just adds the tiniest bit of extra glamour. It also makes a somewhat cheaper product look and feel a lot more high-end, which is really nice.
Here is the Gel Intenza swatched on the back of my arm and added to my soft-smokey everyday look. The liner is very richly pigmented, and I find it to look a lot deeper than MAC’s Blacktrack. Formula wise the L’Oréal liner is very smooth and creamy. It applies like Black butter and is very easy to work with. Longevity wise this baby stays on like no other. I wore it to a long day of doing hair and makeup for a photoshoot and after 10 hours of wear I only found that the inner corners of my eyes had faded. Wow!
THE VERDICT
I’m having some really good feelings about this one. The liner is insanely pigmented, buttery and smooth and stays on like a champ. I’ve only tested it for about a week or 3, but no signals of drying or whatsoever yet. Trust me, I have had liners which dried out on me in just 2-3 weeks. And this has no signs of doing that any time soon. I also like how extremely well this baby stays on. And to top it all off, it’s widely available and doesn’t cost you your first born child as it retails for $9.95/€14,99.
L’Oréal is available at all drugstores in The Netherlands.
